HCAM and Convenience Kits International show care & appreciation for the caregiver at Fairview Range Medical Center, Hibbing

Hibbing - Throughout the country, volunteers in hospitals and care centers are more important than ever. 

The Health Care Auxiliary of Minnesota (HCAM) and its volunteers make a difference in giving comfort to the many that are infirmed but also never lose sight of the importance and needs of the patient’s vital caregiver. In honor of their contributions, Governor Dayton has proclaimed March 28 as Health Care Volunteer Day in Minnesota. 

To support this new initiative, Fairview Range and HCAM, in partnership with Convenience Kits International, Ltd., are distributing nationally branded hygiene kits to the caregivers of patients who, due to unexpected longer stays at the hospital, may need them.

Kits were purchased by the Fairview Range Auxiliary and will be available for caregivers of patients in the Emergency Department, Women’s Health and Birth Center, and Acute Care. Kits include personal care items conveniently packed in a reusable vinyl zippered bag.
